2008 Gnomes Competition

Ladies…. I want to skin my boss alive…. He want me to give our office a farewell gift by signing up for a 2008 Gnomes Competition and the theme must related to “flim that shape our nation”

I had chosen Phua Chu Kang as he has a very prominent looks. With curly hair with a mole, lose shirt and pant and yellow boots with gold accessories and mobile phone and that can reflect a typical “Ah Beng”. He did appear on Amazing Race 3... so there may be people would be able to guess who. However it looks like a negative side of portraying our nation. Do you have any suggestion? I am running out of time already and my boss don't like my idea. I just want to get over and done with before my shipment leaves.

Tao Li,100m Butterfly finals

Trying to keep my colleagues awake on Saturday, so I switch to watch the swimming heats and there I saw Tao Li, our Singaporean swimmer got into semi-final. I got excited went on the internet to find out when is her scheduled for her semi-final and stayed a home on Sunday just to watch if she could get into the finals. True enough she got in!! Eventhough I’m aware that she is not going to be in the top 3, I am still very excited for her as she is the first Singaporean that got in the final for this Olympic Game. My Colleagues and I skipped our lunch just to watch her in finals. Eventhough her final was not as good as in her heats and got 5th place. We are still very happy for her.

The Dark Knight

Last Saturday morning, my colleague and I was on our way to the city to catch a movie but got caught up with our boss to do some urgent personal favours and we had to go back to the office to do the necessary and catch the next available time slot. I am not sure if that affected my mood towards the movie, or I had yet recovered from the previous Friday event. Maybe it not my cup of tea, as I not into action movie? I nearly fall asleep at the beginning of the movie.

Like what other said, Heath Ledger performance was really good. Without any doubt, he makes me feel that he is psychotic in that movie. The other character that attracted my attention was the batman, Christian Bale. He is really a great looking hunk in that movie. Overall... I think its average interesting, a bit long winded. If you not the type that enjoy action pack movie, you shouldn’t go for it.

Things that I am concern about

Ladies….. I have some problem dealing with my French course and my flight back to Singapore.

As you know I am going to Brussels soon I had been trying to convince myself to fall in love with French language. But I can’t…. I just can’t… the moment I saw the book or CD I will just walk away…. It like withdrawer syndrome… As you guy helping me to count down the more I have to remind myself to start reading it the more I start to reject the fact I have to go.

Then recently Qantas have some technical problem with their domestic flight. Eg… Last weekend news reported, a Qantas plane door fall off from the sky and passengers got ear bleeding due to immediate landing air-pressure. You guys should know tat most domestic flight are being control by Qantas. What make thing worst is that the 3rd case on technical problem with their plane reported this morning and I began to worry if it ever happens while I am on my way home and quickly switch off the radio to shoo… away my fear.

So can I request that you guys stop counting down from me? I am feeling very awful right now as there seem to be non-stop of logistic arrangement for me to do right now I don’t think I need additional reminder that I only left how many day left to settle it, eventhought I am really looking forward meeting-up with you guys and I know it a kind gesture from you guys to welcome me back.
